The TSANZ VIC Branch Executive are pleased to announce the 2024 meeting invited keynote speaker as Associate Professor Nicole Rankin who will present 'Implementation Science in Respiratory Health. 

Speaker Bio: A/Prof Nicole Rankin is an implementation scientist and Head, Evaluation and Implementation Science Unit, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne. She leads an internationally-recognised research program focused on using implementation science methods to accelerate the translation of evidence into policy and practice. 

A/Prof Rankin’s passion is lung cancer screening and early detection, and capacity building with clinician-researchers in implementing science. Her research leadership focuses on implementation research in lung cancer screening, early detection and multidisciplinary team management, pancreatic and head and neck cancers, cancer genetics, while her collaborations extend to large-scale implementation trials in palliative care and clinical pathways for anxiety and depression in adults with cancer.

In 2020, she was awarded the Leslie (Les) J. Fleming Churchill Fellowship to explore strategies that enable people from disadvantaged communities to screen for lung cancer.
