Workshop: Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing: From Theory to PracticeShortness of breath on exertion and exercise limitation are common among patients with lung disease. However, there are many potential causes of that breathlessness which may be difficult to define, even after resting pulmonary function testing and cardiac investigations. Hence cardiopulmonary exercise testing may be helpful in the diagnosis of breathlessness. This half-day course will cover the theoretical, practical, and interpretative considerations underpinning cardiopulmonary exercise testing. The half day course will include presentations from international experts and case-based discussions using real-world data.
