Join us for the next WA Branch Lung Club Dinner.

Venue: ANZAC Club, 28 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA

Time: From 6:00PM for a 6:30PM start, 9PM finish 

Theme: Airway Obstruction: Looking Beyond Asthma

Please note the chosen menu for the evening is detailed below. We only accommodate for dietary requirements that we have been informed of before the registration deadline, such as vegetarian, vegan, nut allergies, gluten intolerance, fish allergies, etc. If you have any dietary requirements or would prefer a vegetarian meal, please add this information to the dietary box on your registration form. If you haven't informed us of your dietary requirements and wish to choose a different meal on the evening of the event, a charge of $75 will apply, payable directly to ANZAC before leaving the event.

Speakers:

  • Professor Thomas Halvorsen, we're delighted to host an international speaker coming all the way from Norway. Professor Halvorsen is currently working at the University of Bergen and the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, and is the director of Medicines for Children Network, Norway. He received his medical degree from the University of Bergen with a specialisation in paediatrics. His research covers numerous topics including inducible laryngeal obstruction, asthma in elite athletes and the long-term respiratory consequences of being born prematurely.

  • Kate Baumwol brings over 20 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist, specialising in voice, chronic cough, inducible laryngeal obstruction, and Exercise-Induced Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO). She currently coordinates the Joint Airway and Voice Clinics at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and operates private clinics at the Perth ENT Centre. Additionally, Kate serves on the executive board of the Laryngology Society of Australasia. Recently, she was honored with the Chief Allied Health Office of Western Australia’s Allied Health Professional of the Year award for her contributions to public health.
