TSANZ Event - Asthma Management & Practical Solutions - Ventolin 2.5mg Nebule Outage

There is a short supply of salbutamol sulfate 2.5mg (Ventolin nebules) anticipated from 15th November 2023, as reported on the TGA Medicine Shortages Database. This shortage is due to an unexpected increase in patient demand and limited scope to adjust the manufacturing capacity to meet the demand. Hear from the experts for asthma management strategies to address this imminent shortage of Ventolin 2.5mg nebules. The meeting will include information about who is currently using this medication; practical advice about which patients can be transferred to puffer and spacer and who may still need nebulised therapy; how nurses/pharmacists/GPs can discuss a transition away from nebulised therapy with patients/families; and a demonstration of techniques with puffer and spacer.

This Face-to-face, live streamed & on-demand education event is endorsed by ACN according to our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Endorsed Course Standards. It has been allocated 2 CPD hours according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Continuing Professional Development Standard.
